The number of kennels we have drives the number and type of species WRR can help. Are you handy with a hammer, a staple gun or a screwdriver? We want your help!
The grounds at WRR are enhanced to provide environmentally friendly and insect rich habitats for the birds and small mammals released within the grounds after being rehabilitated. We need volunteers to mow lawns, plant hostas, hang bird houses and feeders
We need volunteers with teaching experience to assist at school and Scout programs, help develop wildlife activities booklets and programs.
Bird houses, feeders, and other habitats for homeless wildlife
Volunteers make bird houses, bird feeders, squirrel feeders, bat houses, suet feeders that may be used in the WRR grounds or sold at WRR fund raisers (Plans must be approved in advance by the WRR Director)
HELP US FEED THE ANIMALS! WRR does not receive any County, State or Federal funds, we have to earn our own birdseed, corn, granola, peanut butter and yogurt to name just a few things. Here are some ideas for fund raisers volunteers can organize and staff:
Craft & bake sales
Dinners, dances, dinner-dances
